PFLAG of Jacksonville Scholarship Info
PFLAG of Jacksonville awards scholarships each year to openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex scholars pursuing higher education.
PFLAG of Jacksonville holds an annual scholarship banquet where scholarship recipients are honored, awarded their scholarships and invited to give a brief presentation. Individuals and businesses who have contributed to the scholarship program are also recognized.
Recipients must meet eligibility criteria and be willing to share a personal story at the banquet. A committee of local educators with diverse backgrounds reviews all applications and selects the recipients based on eligibility, academic potential and achievement, and participation in school activities and in the LGBTI community. Scholars may use the funds as needed as the scholarships are unrestricted.
Below you will find the new 2018 Scholarship Application. All applications are due by June 1st 2018.
Please remember that this Scholarship Program is available to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons in the Jacksonville metropolitan area (Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns Counties) to aid them in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
